Some time ago I had the chance to stay in Skopje in a five stars hotel in the centre, called TCC Plaza. Recently it was completely restored and improved, with some facilities as an high class restaurant, a fitness center, a spa and some meeting rooms. As well the rooms changed quite a lot, but the suite where I was last time it was really nice. I had there a good experience.
The Macedonian luxury hotel is offering spacious rooms and quite well equipped. In my room there was a loung area separated from the bedroom by an acquarium full of nice fishes, sometimes hidden behind the smal acquatic trees. It is a really nice company and not common in a hotel. The furniture was not so modern, but elegant.
The staff is kind and prepared to anwser to the needs of the clients, meanwhile the location is very close to the central pedestrian street, so in a walking distance you can easily reach the main attractions. I suggest you to use TCC Plaza for your stay in Skopje because the prices are quite cheap and the rooms are very big and comfortable.
